Korean Dress

Ted's parents had a beautiful Korean outfit made for Abigail for her first birthday.  I don't understand all of the history behind it, but it is tradition for Korean children to wear this outfit on their first birthday.  It is big enough that she will be able to wear it for several more birthdays too.

Date Afternoon

This afternoon Ted and I had our first outing together, sans Abigail, since March.  We went out to lunch and to see Jack Reacher while Abigail stayed home with Ted's parents.  It was wonderful spending time just the two of us.  The fact that I don't know how to adjust the orientation of the picture doesn't even bother me as I remember how much fun we had this afternoon.

More Christmas Fun

Back To Work

Today was my first day back at work after 11 months and I was greeted with a confetti shower.  I was a little nervous about returning to the office after such a long time but this was a nice way to be welcomed back by my colleagues.

Last Story Hour

Today is my last day as a stay-at-home mom and Abigail and I went to story hour at the library this morning.  Abigail had a wonderful time playing with the toys after story hour.  Story hour is one of the activities I will miss doing with Abigail once I'm back at work and I'm glad we managed to squeeze one more visit in.

Santa's Little Helper

Abigail was Santa's Little Helper today.  After we baked and decorated cookies we put some out with milk with the hope that Santa will stop by our house tonight.

Holiday Cheer

This evening after dinner we took a drive around Lompoc to look at holiday lights and decorations.  We were not disappointed.  This is a fun way for me to get in the holiday spirit.

We received this beautiful card in the mail this afternoon from our friend Pat.  So sweet of her to commemorate Abigail's first Christmas with this lovely card.

Ted returned from a business trip this evening and brought these gifts for Abigail. 

School Shopping

Abigail starts day care two weeks from today.  We went school shopping for her this afternoon to stock up on items she needs for school.

Abigail starts day care soon and we are getting things prepped for her first day.  Shoes... check.

Abigail and I have the flu so no new pictures today.  Instead I am posting two pictures I took yesterday on her 11 month day.  It's hard for me to believe that she is almost 1 year old.  The time has passed by so quickly.

The Kindness Of Neighbors

I stopped by our neighbor Winnie's house this afternoon to drop off our holiday card and she gave me two jars of jam- strawberry and apricot.  I look forward to trying both flavors on toast.

Santa And Costco

Abigail and I visited Santa Clause at La Cumbre Plaza in Santa Barbara this afternoon.  Her visit to Santa was a bust.  She cried the entire time.  Santa suggested we come back another time to see if she is any happier around Santa, so we will try again next week.

At play group this morning, Layla drew this beautiful picture for Abigail.  So sweet.
