Farewell Blog

I've decided today will be my last post (at least for now).  I've maintained my blog for 5 1/2 years and I've enjoyed sharing my pictures and comments with my myriad blog followers- yes I mean you Ted and Carolyn. :)  I thought it fitting that my final post be pictures of the two most important people in my life.

Avila Beach

After visiting the aquarium yesterday we hung around Avila Beach for a few hours enjoying the beautiful weather.

Central Coast Aquarium

We went to the Central Coast Aquarium in Avila Beach today.  The aquarium itself is tiny.  It took us less than 30 minutes to see everything, but Abigail enjoyed it and it let us know that she is ready to visit a larger aquarium.

Gift Three

First Gift

Abigail opened her first gift- bracelets, necklaces, and barrettes- and then decided to put everything on.

I'ts My Birthday

When Abigail came down this morning and saw the gifts underneath the tree the first thing she said was, "presents," then she kept saying, "it's my birthday, it's my birthday."  She was so excited.

Impromptu Zoo Trip

Abigail and I decided to head to the zoo this morning for a short visit.

Santa Claus

Santa came to visit and bring presents at the holiday party we went to last Saturday and I just received Abigail's pictures with Santa today.  I thought that she might be a little bit more willing to visit Santa if she saw her friends sitting with him but I was wrong.  She just does not care for Santa.

My moms club had a holiday party this evening and we had a lot of fun.

Highlights

Abigail's first issue of Highlights magazine arrived in the mail yesterday.  I hope she enjoys the magazine as much as I did when I was growing up.

D Is For Dentist

Today was Abigail's very first dental appointment.  Abigail reacted exactly how we thought she would.  She refused to open her mouth and when the dentist tried to open her mouth she started crying.  At least when she cried she opened her mouth wide so the dentist was able to check out her teeth.
